PROSECUTOR'S INCONSISTENCIES
Ms. Victoire Ingabire, FDU-INKINGI Chair, was brought from Kigali Maximum Prison to the High Court today from 08:00 AM. The appeal bail hearing is still in progress:
- The prosecutor's key witness is not appearing because he unexpectedly withdrew his appeal.
- It has been established that there are many inconsistencies in the Prosecutor's submission: i.e. the information related to circumstances of the arrest of the key witness supposedly fleeing to Congo with a bunch of email copies and money transfer evidence.
The emails have been edited and printed 5 days after the arrest, exactly on 19 October 2010, according to the analysis of the CID evidence by the Defense Counsel. Clearly this evidence did not prompt the arrest because it was made up afterwards. The arrest of the key-witness happened only on 14 October 2010, the same day the victim was arrested as well, contrary to the prosecutor's statement.
- Mr. Uwumuremyi Vital has never been a member of the Rwandan Army before the genocide. He claims he was requisitioned during the war as a spare driver of a local military officer. How did he reach the rank of Major and where?
- The CDF terrorist organization which is supposed to belong to Ms. Victoire Ingabire is not known.
