Ingabire, leader of the United Democratic Forces (FDU) party still not recognised by the Rwandan authorities, was arrested on Thursday on allegations of a "terrorist group".
"The conditions of detention of Ms. Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza, chair of FDU-Inkingi, are intolerable and immoral," the party said on its website.
It said her jailers had denied her a mattress and sheets and she had "spent the whole night seated and handcuffed".
She had also been refused water and it was unclear if she was being fed, it said.
"The government does not provide any food and our people are not allowed to reach her," it said.
Following Ingabire's arrest, US-based Human Rights Watch called on Rwandan authorities on Saturday to allow the opposition "to carry out their legitimate activities".
"If she is to be charged, it should be on the basis of solid evidence, not as a punishment for her criticisms of the government," it added, demanding she be allowed visitors and due process
